MANATHAI HOTEL & RESORT

Decided to visit Thailand for your next vacation? That’s great! Thailand has plenty to offer—stunning attractions, beautiful vistas, great local delicacies, and vibrant cultures. With such welcoming and loving locals, there is no reason not to visit this beautiful country. Khao Lak is one of the best places we can recommend for you to visit . You can experience most, if not all, that Thailand has in store for you right there. And if by any chance, you want to visit a waterfall in the area, we give you the Sai Rung Waterfall.

Do you want to go to the waterfall by for yourself? Here’s what to expect:

Getting to Sai Rung Waterfall

The easiest way to get to the waterfall is to hire a Tuk Tuk to bring you there . Although it can cost you a fair amount of money, you’ll get there in one piece and do not have to worry about getting lost trying to bring your vehicle. Just remember to tell your driver that you want them to wait. Otherwise, you’ll end up trying to look for another ride back home.

Once on foot, you’ll need to travel over a path that is quite uneven and slippery. Because of that, we highly recommend wearing shoes. Of course, if you’re a brave soul and showed up with a pair of flip flops, you’ll still manage, albeit you’ll have a tougher time. Fortunately, the journey isn’t long. After around five minutes of walking, you’ll be rewarded with a stunning view of the waterfall in all of its beauty.

Swimming in the Waters

Although you might be tempted to hop right into the waters and cool off, there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the area is pretty rocky, so you’ll have to wear shoes or sandals to keep your feet safe.

Second, if you’ve arrived around dusk or dawn, be prepared for plenty of biting insects. Wear your mosquito-repellants and long-sleeved shirts and long pants if possible. However, if you show up midday, there won’t be as much of a problem dealing with the tiny critters.

Third, if you’ve been hoping for a beautiful warm pool of water to swim in, you will be surprised. The water is quite cool, definitely colder than most people would expect.

Finally, if you’ve shown up during the dry season, don’t expect too much from the waterfall. Sure, it might still look nice, but nothing close to if you came during the greenrainy season. With that said, if you do show up even during the hottest month in Thailand, which is in April, the waters will still be plenty, great for you to cool off in.

Truth be told, Sai Rung Waterfall may not be the most beautiful waterfall you’ll ever see, but it is spectacular in its own rights. Surrounded by a beautiful lush green forest, with serene waters populated with rocks at the side, it does look like a hidden paradise. If you ever need a break from the views of towns and beaches, and possibly even a break from the sun, visit Sai Rung Waterfall.
